Land Rover Landie: the lowdown
Land Rover flashed up this tantalising glimpse of the Landie at the Frankfurt Motor Show today, confirming the long-rumoured lower-priced SUV to slot beneath the Freelander. Cynics might accuse the company of distracting show-goers from the fact that there was nothing especially new on its stand. It seems that Land Rover – currently up for sale alongside sister firm Jag with a sale expected this autumn - is repeating its strategy with the Range Stormer concept.
Land Rover has announced UK pricing for the new Range Rover Evoque, which goes on sale in September 2011. Prices for the new Evoque start at £27,955 and run to £44,320, with details on the range and specifications below. Range Rover Evoque - the body and powertrain options
The Range Rover Evoque will offer a multitude of customisation options, as is the way with 'premium' vehicles these days. The first choice to make is whether to go with the three-door Evoque Coupe bodystyle, or slightly more practical Evoque five-door.
Ssangyong has been on a knife edge for the past year, as the Korean parent company went into administration. But it's bounced back and now has new owners in the shape of Mahindra & Mahindra. The company's relaunching in the UK with the new Ssangyong Korando crossover, but you'll have to wait a couple more months before its arrival in January.
